I have had an interest in photography since I was a young teenager. My mother gave me her old cube flash film camera and I took as many pictures as I could afford to get finished. Along the way, I've had point and shoot film
and digital cameras as well as a 35mm Pentax SLR. But digital
is the way to go so I finally made the jump to digital SLR.

Taking pictures of dogs is of particular interest to me. I love
capturing them from every angle imaginable. I have a lot of shots
of my own dogs as you can imagine.

Dogsports are another passion of mine but they don't always mix
well with photography because of the low light conditions in
most indoor sports venues and the speed of the dogs. I know most
people that do indoor and outdoor dog sports are looking for
pictures of their dogs in action but have a hard time getting
those nice shots that make unforgettable souvenirs.

So Kaléano Photo was born. The name comes from the last
syllable of three of our dogs' names: Moka, Aléa and Tchino.
My goal is to capture dogs in action at their best, doing what
they love!
